As a sort of in-joke in honor of the con chairman, Nick Smith, this year's kazoos all had something to do with the name "Smith". Thus,

The Best Aliens on Earth Song, aka the Will Smith Kazoo (for his role in the movie Men In Black), won by Wings by Cat Faber.
The Best Dystopian Song, aka the Winston Smith Kazoo (for the protagonist in the novel 1984, by George Orwell), won by The Hand of God, by Julia Ecklar.
The Best Furry Song, aka the Cordwainer Smith Kazoo (for the author of Norstrila and the other Underpeople/Lords of the Instrumentality stories), won by Little Fuzzy Animals, by Frank Hayes.
The Best Hero Song, aka the Nayland Smith Kazoo (for the hero of the Fu Manchu stories by Sax Rohmer), won by A Toast to Unknown Heroes, by Leslie Fish.
The Best Long Lived Song, aka the Woodrow Wilson Smith Kazoo (for the birth name of the quasi-immortal Lazarus Long, a character in several novels by Robert A. Heinlein), won by Mary O'Meara, by Poul Anderson
