Children's Songs as written and sung by the kids themselves - versions contributed by all and sundry... |

Warning!! the songs kids sing and the songs adults write for them are two entirely different phenomena... |
---|
These are camp, hiking and schoolyard songs. As the original authors are usually unknown, "attributions" are actually listings of whoever contributed the song to the discussion. Some of the comments are those of the contributors, some are mine, but I don't always recall which is which myself. Anyway, additions welcomed - just click here to email me 'em. Be it noted that while I have included a few folksongs more likely started by adults though later modified by the kids (The Titanic, The Carnival (Cannibal?) King and the Quartermaster's Stores), what I really want are the ones the kids come up with on their own. I do however occasionally have people ask me about things definitely in the written by adults for kids department, so if anybody out there knows who wrote "Mother Tabby Skins" and where lyrics or recordings of it may be found please let me know so I can pass it along to the requester. There are currently five files in this collection - the index page which you're currently looking at, and four pages of songs. If you want to download the lot, the song files are child1.htm, child2.htm, child3.htm and child4.htm. |
